GTA 6 trailer 2: four songs, only one of them credited
The second GTA 6 trailer arrived on May 6, 2025, a week after the game slipped to May 26, 2026. Four songs play across its 167 seconds, and the official description names exactly one.

The second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer went up with no advance notice on May 6, 2025 at 13:29 UTC, a week after the game moved from autumn 2025 to May 26, 2026. It runs 167 seconds, or 2:47. Four songs play in it. Rockstar Games credits one.
That one is “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters, released in 1986, the year GTA: Vice City was set. Its credit takes three lines in the video description: “Written by Sharon Robinson / Published by Universal Music Corp. on behalf of itself, Buchu Music and Robinhill Music (ASCAP) / Courtesy of RCA Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment”. The song only comes in at the end, over the reunion outside the prison.
The other three play earlier, on a car radio. NME identified them the same day, May 6, 2025, and none of the three appears in the official description.

The third one carries the most weight. “Child Support” is Haitian konpa, a genre tied to the Haitian diaspora of South Florida, and as late as August 23, 2026 Gulf News still treated it as the only pointer from an official source towards a Caribbean-leaning station. The streaming effect, by contrast, was measured. Rockstar told The Hollywood Reporter that Spotify had logged a 182,000 percent rise in streams of “Hot Together” within two hours. The same thing happened with trailer 1 in December 2023, whose description also credited a single track, Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road”, up 36,979 percent on Spotify according to Universal Music Publishing.
What the trailer showed, music aside
The video gives both playable characters their full names, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and opens on Jason shouting from his roof that he is “just fixing some leaks”. The description adds: “This trailer was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.” Rockstar repeated that to Eurogamer on May 7, 2025, after players called the footage too clean for a base console.
The same day, the studio put 70 new screenshots on rockstargames.com/VI, along with character pages and six large areas of Leonida, from Vice City to the Keys by way of a national park.
One soundtrack question is still open. Jay Ferguson’s “Thunder Island” is listed by the press among the songs used in the official trailers, but no level 1 or level 2 source says which one it belongs to. Attributing it to trailer 2 currently rests on a fan database and nothing else.
The trailer won best trailer at the Golden Joystick Awards on November 20, 2025. As of August 28, 2026 it showed 180,266,274 views on the Rockstar Games channel, a little over 60 percent of trailer 1’s total, broken down in our trailer records entry.
