GTA 6: all 14 songs in the Extended Look, 1976 to 2023
Rockstar Games published no track list for its August 27, 2026 presentation. The press identified fourteen licensed songs by ear, VICE only thirteen, and the whole gap comes down to a single track.

Fourteen licensed songs have been identified by ear in “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look”, the 26 minutes and 48 seconds of gameplay Netflix streamed on August 27, 2026 at 3 p.m. ET and Rockstar Games posted to YouTube at 9 p.m. ET. Rockstar published no track list. The oldest song is from 1976, the newest from 2023.

That list is not everyone’s. On August 28, 2026, VICE published one of thirteen songs, with no “Inner Light” by Elderbrook and Bob Moses. Yet that is the track of the closing montage, the one running under Cal Hampton’s voice-over just before the last card of the presentation puts the November 19, 2026 date back on screen. Khel Now, TechnoSports and InMusic all count it, and so do IGN and Polygon. Not one of those outlets mentions the discrepancy.
Where a song lands says as much as which song it is. Phil Collins and “Against All Odds”, released in 1983, score no chase at all: the track plays inside an elevator, a placement TechnoSports logged on August 28, 2026. Earlier in the video, Jason and Lucia pull away from their apartment in an old red convertible with Depeche Mode’s “People Are People” on the car stereo, a moment Game Informer picked out of its August 27 breakdown.
Two of the fourteen have an explanation on the record. Rupert Humphries, senior vice president of narrative at Rockstar Games, told Dazed on August 26, 2026:
“We love Miami music, particularly Miami bass, going through to more recent Miami artists like Kodak Black and Sexyy Red.”
Kodak Black’s “Skrilla” and Sexyy Red’s “Pound Town” both made the 26 minutes.
What the video holds back runs longer than what it hands over. No radio station is named on screen, and none of the counts published on August 27 and 28, 2026 ties a song to a station, which leaves the entire dial open, frequency by frequency. Rockstar Games has announced no original score composer and no soundtrack release. Vice City had one the day it shipped in October 2002: seven albums on Epic Records, for nine stations and more than 113 songs and ads.
